Although, this is only the beginning of the partnership between C&M Motorsport and Aaron, it is a relationship that has grown personally between M.D. Martin McKenna and Aaron stretching back over 5 years, when Aaron Co-Drove in the C&M Motors backed Fiesta WRC alongside Marty on the Enniskillen Motor Club Lakeland Stages Rally.

From here, Aaron’s career grew from strength to strength, competing alongside UAE’s Mohamed Al-Mutawaa, Norway’s Oliver Solberg, and currently Japans’s Takamoto Katsuta, in a range of cars including the Volkswagen Polo GTi R5, Skoda Fabia R5 Evo, Subaru Impreza WRX STi, Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC, Toyota Yaris WRC, and for 2022 is competing in the all-new Toyota Yaris GR Rally1 Hybrid at the pinnacle of the sport.

Aaron started with humble beginning’s competing with his father Ian, in a little Nissan Micra in the Northern Ireland Night Navigation Rally Championship from the age of 12 until 16, when he moved into Stage Rallying.

From here, Aaron spent several years, with local drivers, honing his skills and gaining experience alongside a multitude of local drivers, in events all over Ireland and the U.K.

In 2018, C&M Motorsport Sales M.D. Marty, gave Aaron his first opportunity to compete in the highest calibre of machinery aboard his Ford Fiesta WRC. Later that year, Aaron got the call to partner 2003 World Champion, Petter Solberg, on the debut test of the brand new Volkswagen Polo GTi R5 in Spain.

From here, ahead of the 2019 season, Aaron teamed up with Petter’s son Oliver, for the following 3 years. A partnership that proved extremely successful as the pairing amassed a total of 10 Rally Wins on both sides of the Atlantic, for Subaru, Volkswagen and Hyundai. In 2020, the crew became Junior European Rally Champions. A result that caught the eyes of Hyundai Motorsport for a 2021 Drive.

In 2022 Aaron was granted the opportunity to compete in a full campaign at the highest level of World Motorsport, as part of the reigning World Manufactures Champions, Toyota. At the time of writing, Aaron is currently 4th in the World Championship Standings after an 8th Place finish at Rallye Monte Carlo, and a career best of 4th place in Rally Sweden.

With 11 more rallies to go this season, everyone here at C&M Motorsport, wishes the best of luck to Aaron & Takamoto, and are hoping to see the C&M Motorsport Logo standing proud on the World Rally Championship Podium at some point throughout the year!
